I don't have A levels, will I still be able to apply?

A lack of formal qualifications  is not a barrier to applying for this course. We are much more interested in what you have done since leaving school, what you have learnt through these experiences and what you might wish to gain from the course

Do I have to be in employment?

We would expect you to be working either in a paid or voluntary role  or actively seeking to employment.

Can I apply if my GCSE's in English and Maths
are below grade C?

These are minimum entry requirements however if you do not have these qualifications we can link with our partner training provider who will support you to achieve the relevant functional skills  through an on line programme at no extra cost to you (except the exam fees).

I am worried about how to fund the course?

There are a number of options and a lot will hinge on your personal situation. Applicants can access the new Higher Education part time loans (which is neither age nor income related) thus not having to pay any of the fees upfront.  Further details can be found here.

If you are looking for your employer to support there is further information on the website about two options that you might wish to discuss with your employer; you can also pay by two  instalments over the year.

Will I study by attending large lectures?

No you will study in small groups typically of around 20 people and the approach to learning is very much workshop orientated. The learning will also build on your own experiences and there will be plenty of opportunity to relate the learning to your own work.

Where will I study?

There are two places for the classroom teaching – normally this will be on an evening at the beautiful Mansion House within Oaklands college St Albans campus. You will also study at the contemporary University Hertfordshire business school on a Saturday.

I saw reference to online study , is this more like a on line course?

No , the main focus is classroom based in terms of face to face teaching. These are supported however by some extra on line learning. In addition 25% of the modules are delivered through an on line programme entirely.  This also helps give you flexibility to decide when you want to study.

I'd like to find out more what should I do?
