New Accelerated Part-Time Business Management and Innovation Degree Launch
The University of Hertfordshire and Oaklands College, through its joint venture as University Campus St Albans (UCSA), celebrated the launch of a new accelerated part-time Business Management and Innovation degree last week.
The new Business Management and Innovation degree requires just over two years of dedicated study and has been designed specifically for people already either in or seeking to return to work.
At the launch, David Clarke spoke about the importance of business being innovative, customer focused and having the right staff in place. David is well known for both his business and football successes. David has developed a highly successful career in the banking sector spanning 21 years and an International Football career which has seen him represent Great Britain and England’s blind football team 144 times, scoring a total of 128 goals. David, who currently works for the Royal National for the Blind as a Service Director, commented:
“UCSA is offering something quite unique and special for people seeking to combine part time study with busy work and home lives. All businesses need to understand the importance of the customer experience to be ahead of the game. Students really value the significant personalised support that they receive from staff. UCSA also offers a unique way of recognising the learning from work experience as contributing to the degree itself, thus further accelerating their studies. These are just the sort of degree programmes that can really help individuals enhance their career so that they can make a major difference to their own organisations. It was great to hear of the success stories of past students with UCSA – many of whom have gone on to make major contributions in their own organisations and some have progressed onto post graduate study as well. It shows that it really is never too late to learn.”
